Problem
Sara Beaner is a Catholic artist whose work is rooted in sacred themes, traditional technique, and a genuine vocation to make beautiful things. But without a website, her only way to share and sell that work was in person, limiting her reach to whoever happened to be in the room. She needed a professional online presence that could do justice to the work itself without feeling commercial, trendy, or visually cluttered. The site had to feel trustworthy and reverent, something a parish, a collector, or a collaborator could land on and immediately understand who Sara is and what she does. It also had to be something she could actually maintain herself without relying on a developer every time she wanted to make a change.
What we did
- Designed and built Sara's first professional website from the ground up on Wix, chosen specifically for its ease of ownership so Sara could manage her own content going forward without technical support.
- Created a calm, editorial layout that keeps the artwork at the center of every page. Typography, spacing, and color were chosen to complement the work rather than compete with it.
- Structured the site to clearly communicate Sara's vocation, background, and available work, giving visitors an obvious path whether they want to learn more, make a purchase, or reach out about a commission.
- Kept the build scoped and affordable without cutting corners on the design quality that a working artist's portfolio demands.
Outcome
Sara now has a professional online home she can confidently share with parishes, galleries, collaborators, and collectors. The site presents her work with the dignity it deserves while remaining completely manageable for a solo artist without a technical background. What had previously been limited to in-person moments now has a permanent, accessible home on the web. The design communicates reverence and credibility from the first visit, which is exactly what a Catholic artist building a reputation needs.
